The Speed object contains a field called CircuitTypeOption with three possible options that can be

assigned to it: BI, UNI, or BI and UNI.

 

As a side note, a Circuit or Port direction can be set to either BI or UNI.

 

When creating a new Circuit, in the Circuit form, if the field called CircuitType is set to UNI, then another

dropdown field is displayed directly under the Name field called Direction, in which the user may select

the A-B, B-A, or BI options, typically one of the first two options would be chosen.

 

In the Port’s case if it is set to UNI then it will be either A-B or B-A

If a Circuit is created with a CircuitType field of UNI, then the only ports it can use are ones set to UNI

 

A uni port only accepts a uni circuit

A bi port only accepts a bi circuit
