This chapter describes the Order/TT object in VC4’s IMS, hereafter called Order. The Order functionality is accessed from the main menu bar.
The Order object is where a set of business or technical processes come together as a workflow to achieve a service or a goal.
In IMS, different Order Types are created to represent the different processes needed to achieve a successful target or goal.
Such targets could be: Set up new 1GBE data service, Set up new 1GBE Audio/Visual service, Terminate a 2MB leased line, Roll out new 5G cell on existing tower.
Each order will be made up of a set of instructions or activities required to achieve the desired result.
This chapter will cover the basics of the Order functionality from an end user’s perspective.
