In order to use the Warehouse feature it is necessary to understand the processes that drive the Warehouse's material life cycle; from the time material is ordered from the suppliers until its disposal.
The following list of processes are the general ones that help understand the flow of material through the warehouse:
➢Material is ordered from the vendor or supplier, using:
oPurchase Orders, Investment Numbers, Invoices
➢Material is delivered and registered in the Warehouse system
➢Processing material that leaves the stock system
➢Handling defective material
➢Handling cable stock differently
➢Disposing of material
Some other prior administrative functions to be carried out in advance are:
➢Setting up new material types - i.e., Furniture [chairs, tables, desks, etc.], IT Equipment [laptops, mobile phones, etc.]
oincluding Material Templates
➢Setting up stock sections - i.e., Mobile, General Warehouse, Customer, Lost or Stolen Items, etc.
➢Cable Types
