A purchase order must be created to obtain new material. It allows for tracking the ordering and delivery process and can be used to control the budget.
For further details on creating a Purchase Order (P.O.) see the section called Getting Material Into Stock
Purchase Orders are accessed from the IMS Main Menu under the Warehouse module, and then by selecting Purchase Order from the drop down list provided.
You can then search for an existing P.O. by typing in part or the full name of the P.O. in the Search area's Search field.
When you create a new P.O., as shown in the screenshot below, the Create new PurchaseOrder popup window appears.

The New P.O. form contains the following fields:
