Rate Centers are used within the assignment, routing, and rating/billing databases in the telephony industry.
The LATA feature is accessed from the IMS Main Menu:

Rate Center form
When opened, the LATA form shows the following information:

Tabs containing lists of Rate Center related information - when a Rate Center is related to other LATAs, TNRs, or Province/States, tabs will appear as shown in the above screen shot. The History tab is always present and contains a log of all activity for the Rate Center. |

This option deletes the Rate Center instance - options are Yes and No |

This option will close the open Rate Center instance |
Relating a Rate Center
Relating a Rate Center to a Province/State or LATA is achieved from the Rate Center Form Actions button bar:
▪Select the Relate Rate Center To option
▪Choose either Province (Province/State) or LATA - a popup window appears
▪Select an instance from the available drop down list of Province or LATA fields accordingly

▪Click on the Save icon in the lower left corner of the popup windows to complete the task
