Transition Points

Create multiple Transition Points

 


Transition Points are created in a similar way to creating Manholes / Handholes.

 

From the Network Map's Options bar:

Select the Drawoption (Pencil icon)

From the dropdown list, select the Point option

 

This will reveal a blue dot on the Network Map. Now select the various site locations that will house the Transition Point by:

Left clicking on the map - the blue dot will turn into a yellow location marker

From the Network Map's Options bar, select the Save Drawbuffer ... (Up Arrow icon) - the Create Multiple Sites popup window appears.

Fill in the required information - in particular selecting the appropriate Site Template form the Site Template dropdown field which contains the necessary transition point equipment

 

Click on the Save icon in the lower left corner of the popup window when completed

To create a single Transition Point, follow the same steps as in the section called Create a single Manhole / Handhole,  but when selecting the Site Template, ensure a Transition Point template is chosen.

To obtain a view of elements within a Transition Point:

 

Left click on the Transition Point on the map

 

This opens up a popup window with tabs of related information. As seen in the next screen shot there are ports that can serve as logical transition points for circuits (Ports tab), and a simple graphic of the Transition Point's layout (Drawing tab).
